History []

Akiro Nakamura is the eldest son of widowed Billionaire Toshiro Nakamura. The Nakamura Clan were descended from a long line of samurai warriors in service of keeping the sacred Dragon Fire jewel safe and hidden from those who would misuse its power. Each eldest son was given a dragon tattoo across their chest to symbolize they were the caretaker of the Dragon’s Fire. Akiro was a very brash and careless young man who never took interest in his father’s corporation or any other responsibilities. Toshiro held out hope that Akiro would someday turn himself around and assume responsibility for Nakamura Industries as well as being caretaker of the Dragon’s Fire. Toshiro was dying from cancer and had only months to live. He had only told his younger brother, Kano, as he didn’t want to guilt Akiro into assuming his responsibilities.

As Toshiro grew weaker from cancer, a power struggle broke out between Toshiro and Kano as to who should become the caretaker of the jewel when Toshiro died. Normally the succession of caretaker fell to the eldest son However, Kano didn’t feel that Akiro was mature enough to handle the responsibility of being caretaker of the jewel. Kano wanted his eldest son, Kenji to assume the role of caretaker. Toshiro refused to relent which led to a bitter feud between him and Kano. While taking a business trip Toshiro’s private jet crashed killing everyone on board. Akiro was devastated at the news of his father’s death. Kano seeing an opportunity to grant the role of caretaker to himself and eventually his own son got close to Akiro. Kano assumed leadership of Nakamura Industries, appointing Kenji as second in command. Kano continued to give Akiro a generous monthly stipend which Akiro accepted without question. However, when Akiro was looking for his uncle at Nakamura Tower one evening he overheard a conversation between Kano and Kenji where Kano admitted to being responsible for Toshiro’s plane crashing and his desire to take over as caretaker of the jewel.

Akiro started to confront Kano but, realized that their belief that he was in the dark and knew the precise whereabouts of the jewel, were most likely the only reasons they haven’t killed him yet. He raced to his father’s house to search for the Dragon’s Fire to no avail. In frustration, Akiro threw a paperweight at the wall hitting a portrait of his mother. When the portrait was knocked aside the mantle slid away revealing an entrance to a hidden room. Akiro entered the room and saw a lighted dais with a glass enclosure atop it. Inside the glass was the Dragon’s Fire. Akiro was startled by Kano and Kenji standing behind him. A struggle broke out between Akiro and Kenji while Kano attempted to retrieve the jewel. When Kano attempted to touch the glass he was thrown to the floor from an electrical jolt. This distracted Kenji long enough for Akiro to gain the upper hand and defeat Kenji, knocking him out of the room. Akiro reached for the jewel when Kano shot him. As he fell, Akiro fell into the dais, knocking it over and breaking the glass enclosure exposing the jewel. With his dying breath, Akiro grabbed the jewel, holding it close to him when the room became engulfed in flame.

The Dragon’s Fire healed Akiro and granted him its mystical properties. Kano stood in disbelief before being incinerated by the flame. The jewel had imbedded itself into Akiro’s chest and slipped into the wound before he was healed. Awestruck and weak from the strain of healing, Akiro went outside of the room and found Kenji still unconscious on the floor. Akiro sealed the room and called the authorities before heading back to Nakamura Tower and ransacking Kano’s office until he found his father’s falsified will. He got the will he found in his father’s secret room authenticated and assumed the role of CEO of Nakamura Industries. Instead of sending his cousin Kenji to prison, he omitted his role in his uncle’s scheme and it was assumed that Kano was still on the run. Kenji resigned from Nakamura Industries never to be heard from again. Akiro realized that with a power as great as his, and since The Dragon’s Fire was now a part of him, he would use it to fight injustice as Dragon Fire.

Powers and Abilities[]

Dragon Fire derives his powers from the sacred jewel called The Dragon’s Fire. The mystical jewel grants its wearer the ability to generate a flaming dragon around themselves made of Dragon’s Fire. The flaming dragon can fire mystical flames incinerating metal and stone almost instantly. The flame can also be released from his hands when he is not surrounded by the flaming dragon although not as powerful. The flame can be directed as a concussive force, or mystical flames.  While the wearer of the jewel is surrounded by the flaming dragon they are protected from any form of assault except those of a mystical nature. The Dragon’s Fire jewel also allows its wearer to fly when they are surrounded by the flaming dragon. Dragon Fire is also immune to extreme cold, as his core temperature is consistently warmer than the ordinary human. Apart from the jewel’s mystical properties, Akiro is an expert martial artist with advanced rankings in Shotokan Karate, Ju-Jitsu, Judo and Kenjutsu.
