Andre Johnson, also secretly The Black Dragonfly, is the owner of a nightclub called The Bronze, in Bronzeville, Chicago. The club is suspected by the Illinois State’s Attorney Office of being a money laundering hub for Johnson’s drug trafficking activities.

History

Antonio Johnson was a self made man who was rumored to have been related to a notorious gangster from the 1940’s. To the general public he was a Real Estate Tycoon however, he was secretly ran a network of criminal operations throughout Chicago. He eventually married his childhood sweetheart—Evelyn, and they had a son named Andre.  Evelyn died giving birth to Andre and this changed Antoine, making him realize that he no longer wanted to be involved in organized crime, much to the chagrin of his criminal contemporaries. When he was old enough, Antonio sent Andre away to school and worked on trying to leave his criminal life behind him. Many of those within his organization made every attempt to stymie his progress and when they felt he was getting too close to interfering in their livelihood, they had him killed.

Andre returned from abroad to attend his father’s funeral and assume control of his legitimate holdings. He did however, maintain ownership and control of his father’s nightclub—The Bronze. Andre became determined to honor his father’s memory by staying connected to the criminal enterprises so that he could secretly bring them down from within. While he was abroad, Andre spent time throughout Asia and became an expert in several martial arts. He continued his training upon returning to the US with his Japanese sensei’s brother—Kirusama “Kerry” Nakamura.

Andre devised the guise of The Black Dragonfly to infiltrate criminal enterprises from within by posing as a super criminal, looking to take over their action. Andre formed a network of operatives throughout the city and the country.

Black Dragonfly has no superhuman abilities, but has trained his mind and body to a great degree.

Master Martial Artist: Black Dragonfly is an extraordinary hand-to-hand combatant and is a master in multiple unarmed combat techniques including: Aikido, Judo, Jujitsu, Karate and Ninjutsu.

The Black Dragonfly is incredibly strong normally, able to lift/press 500 lbs. 

Weapons

• The Black Dragonfly wears an insulated bodysuit which regulates his body temperature, makes him resistant to fire, extreme cold and virtually resistant to small arms fire. The bodysuit also doubles his strength, allowing him to lift/press 1000 lbs (1/2 ton). 

The Black Dragonfly carries a walking stick which he uses as a short staff and can be broken down into nunchuckus. His walking stick also can emit an electrical charge capable of knocking down an adult male weighing in excess of 300 lbs. from 15 ft away.
